Hi Terry,
i remember "snooping" on vag-com's obd-ii "test" with
a piece of software that monitors a pc serial port.
what i saw was a little weird - it seemed to send
bytes out but didn't care if anything came back -
something like that - if i'm wrong on this maybe Uwe
can correct me.
anyway, maybe you can "borrow" an obd-ii & iso-9141
compliant car (1996+ vw or '96+ mazda, etc.) and
"test" your interface using vag-com.
also, see andy whitaker's web site, he has some very
good software up there. he also sells hardware.
if you have access to a scope try hooking that up -
you can actually see the 5 baud bit pattern going out.
lacking the above, buzz your circuit out again.
i can't see thoroughly testing the interface stand
alone - if you send something out, you want something
else to answer back...like the car ecu.
