I would like to obtain a sample of this chip as well.
Let me know how you would like to get this to me - and if you need funds for shipping etc.

Subject: [opendiag] Need interface chip advice- motorola? others?
I need some advice.
I need to create a prototype scantool device that can interface with
all commonly available US passenger cars (well, across all standard
ISO, VPW and PWM, at least).
I can do an early prototype with the ELM323 that I already have
available, but the ELM323 is ISO specific (which excludes VPW & PWM
vehicles) and also, a prototype made with the ELM323 would be useless
as a reference for later designs because the ELM323 is quite
expensive.
I have looked into the motorola mc33290, but documentation is rather
lacking. I assume that this chip is unable to interface with VPW and
PWM systems?
What are my options as far as what would work across all
communication platforms? Is there an "all-in-one" chip?
Thanks, I sincerely appreciate the help!
-Neil
