Hi Stefan

First let me know what for Hardware and software you use ( platform )

AND what for message you get back that you mean service_not supported

when an ECU responds with ( Service_Not_Supported )

- fast or slow Init is not made correctly
- the command is really not implemented
- Form and content error ( see ISO14230-2 page 25 )

befor all of them you init the ECU first wait of ( high level on K-Line min 300 ms ).

last year we had a problem on a Renault Clio with this timeout , believe me , all the timing ( Interbyte , Intermessage , wait of response )
are very important when you set e.g 5 mS interbyte time it is not enougth set to 10 ms is critical but set to 12 ms is good.
wait of response min 300 ms ( extend it to 500 ms )

with Siemens Sirius you must get the keywords 0xE9 and 0x8F when you init your ECU with 0x33 ( OBD/EOBD Address)

1) also first init and get keywords

2.) Send start_Comm_Request <0x81><0x7A><0xF1><0x81><CS> or <0xC1><0x33><0xF1><0x81><0x66>

cs = add all the bytes excl. CS

3:) Wait of response <0x81><0xF1><0x7A><0xC1><CS> 0xC1 is positive response if you have another code repeat the Start _Comm_req Message till you receive 0xc1

4.) Send Supported_PID command
<0x82><0x7A><0xF1><0x01><0x00> <CS> or <0xC2><0x33><0xF1><0x01><0x00><CS>

and you receive the supported PIDs

regards

Bülent

Hi Bulent,

Believe me, I tried <0x81><0x7A><0xF1><0x03><CS>. Matter of fact, I
tried all <0x81><0x7A><0xF1><0x01-0x0F><CS>. The response I get
is:ServiceNotImplemented. It would have been great to have those
commands.

Now, if I do a slow init on 0x33, I can wake-up the ECU, but once I
try to send any command, again I get no response no matter if I try
KWP2000 or OBD-ii blocks.

Also, if I use functional addressing i.e. C0 +length i get No
response. Only works with 80+len.

I tried both KWP2000 blocks: <0x82><0x7A><0xF1><0x01><0xC1><CS>
and OBD-II blocks: <0x68><0x7A><0xF1><0x01><0xC1><CS>.

I get NO ANSWER. So, I'm stuck.

BTW: What is 0x61? Is it functional or physical addressing in OBD-ii?

And, apparently there is no length info in the OBD-ii block... so you
just receive all bytes until the last one matches the calculated CS?
Is this how it works?

Regards,
Stefan.B.
