David, thanks for your quick response.
I built 'Jeff's interface' over the weekend and have just used it with
VWTool v. 2.0.9 and it seems to work (even with a 10k resistor on the L-line
connection, uhf@... may like to note)!
My immediate problem is that I don't have any information about the VAG1551
scantool procedures for my UK 1994 VW Golf Avantgarde. What's missing are
the various command settings and procedures to allow full interrogation of
the various ECUs and sensors in the car. Do you have any ideas on where they
may be obtained (apart from a VW dealer - my local one is not helpful)?
I think that I may be able to help you with a copy of VWTool (which I
downloaded from the net sometime last year.) Let me know if you're
interested.
