There's a reason why there are only three "commerically available"
software packages in the world that do a reasonable job of emulating the
proprietary VAG factory scan tools: You can't buy specs for the VAG
proprietary stuff anywhere!

That means it takes a SUBSTANTIAL investment in time and tools ($$$) to
reverse engineer this stuff. The people who've made this investment are
all trying to make a living with it. Until somebody who is already
independently wealthy comes along and decides to do this just for fun,
that situaltion is unlikely to change.

Now I've made my software as close to "free" as I possibly think I can
while still making a living at it. Anyone can download it and use it in
shareware mode for free, no time restrictions. Sure, some
functionality is blocked. You want the full functionality (and support,
and free updates) it costs a whopping $99. What more could you ask for?
