OBD-II outside US

Does anyone know what the likelihood of OBD-II being used outside the US?

e.g. new Honda/Acura cars must have OBD-II if for the US domestic market.
But if they are sold outside that market (in particular, I'm interested in
Australia), will they have OBD-II?
