[opendiag] Mercedes protocol

Ezequiel,

I've got a 1996 W463 and 1998 E300DT. My notes (made some time ago) indicate that pin 4 on the 38 pin connector (known as X11/4 - diagnostic connector) is a direct connection to pin 7 on the OBDII connector, the K line. That was tested on the 1998 - a USA model with OBDII. I've not tried to establish an OBD session with the 1996 model.

Hope that helps

Alan

Subject: [opendiag] Mercedes protocol

Hello

My Mercedes w202 has a 38 pin connector for diagnostic. The year of
my car is 1996. And the ECU is a Siemens PMS. Which protocol uses my
car? Does anybody has info about the protocol and so on?

Thanks very much
Ezequiel
