I just like to point out that the design you refer to is NOT intended
for use when interfacing a PC or any other RS232 interface to your car.
Handshaking is not a thing you can be a fan of or not, some systems
just require it to work. There is no handshake involved in the design
of Jeff Noxon though. I suggest you give it a try.
