Well, the ISO-9141-2 system on my '96 Maxima doesn't seem to require
handshaking as it just has a K-line - the handshaking on Jeff's circuit is on
the Micro/PC side, which is why I am searching for a design that doesn't
require it - easier to code. Jeff's design uses DTR and CTS on the RS-232 side,
which are the handshaking lines, correct?

I hope I am not mistaken here,
