Hi Ezequiel

Last year i had a same problem. When you turn the engine on , you have
disturbance on K-Line that you interpret as data. Perhaps that is the
problem. Also use a EMC filter ( Sytle murata ) on K-Line for test or
use a chip like mc33290 or si9241aey they have a integrated circuit with
some hysterese.

Subject: [opendiag] Specific question

Hello,

I'm trying to get RPM of my VW GOL using my own interfase and a
microcontroller. Everything works right when the engine if off, but
when I start the engine the programs runs and halts when I
accelerate or something like that happens. I think that I0m
saturating the ECU. So I would like to know how much time do I have
to wait after receiving the Data Block and sending the ACK block (in
this case the ACK block is requering again the RPM info)?

Also I'm asking RPM by reading the Channel One of the ECU (Diesel
Pump in my case), Is it a more direct way of asking the ECU for the
RPM?

Thanks very much
Ezequiel
