Hi Radix,

Just tried your suggestions:

Tried fast and slow init resetting to 10400 8n1.

OK

Also tried
C1 33 F1 81 cs (startCommunication)

I tried sending the following, and it seems to be a short message
format with NO format or address bytes, just a length byte as a
header.

Tx:02 21 03 26
Rx:05 61 03 01 2F 3A D3

Tx:02 21 05 28
Rx:04 61 05 00 00 6A

Tx:02 21 0A 2D
Rx:04 61 0A 00 B6 25

Tx:02 21 0B 2E
Rx:04 61 0B 00 01 71

Tx:02 21 0C 2F
Rx:05 61 0C 00 00 00 72

Tx:02 21 (00->02,O6->09,0D->10) cs
Rx:03 7F 21 12 B5 (subFunctionNotSupported - invalidFormat)

The first byte is a length byte, the last the checksum. I think this
is just another way of reading readDataByLocalIdentifier.

Unless someone has a Local ID list it will be guess work as to what
the values mean (Sander - I will send you an email about your
message).

Surely there must be a way of using 0x0C, 0x0D etc in some format to
get the RPM, vehicle speed and so on unless I'm doing somthing
stupid ,which is very possible :-)=)
