Hi,
I'm not quite sure what you mean - all the interfaces are
bidirectional, as you need to send commands to the ECU which
the ECU responds to.
Do you mean some form of duplex mode?
Cheers,
Nick.

Subject: [opendiag] Any bidirectional OBD-II interfact available or
buildable?
Hi,
I'm fairly new to OBD-II diagnostics, and was wondering whether any
of the buildable interfaces or even some of the inexpensive available
interfaces (like the one from obddiagnostics.com) are capable of
bidirectional interfacing with the on board computer of an OBD-II
compliant 1996 jeep Cherokee.
I've managed to read the code using a borrowed OBD-II scanner,
P0748, which is the pressure control solenoid (on the transmission),
but the next step is the read the voltage and current across the
device. Supposedly, bidrectional mode can do this. (Of course I may
just try to read it with a voltmeter :)
Thanks for any help.
