I've had enough of this crap.

It's a shame:

Most of you seem to be a lot more interested in pirating VWtool than
collaborating on a freeware program to replace it.

I regret that I don't have time to work on software myself right now,
but I've already helped hundreds of people with the hardware interface.
I've invested a tremendous amount of time in it. Very few people ever
thank me. A lot of people expect me to babysit them and answer questions
that are answered right on my web page.

15 years ago, when I wrote freeware software for the Apple II, I would
often get unsolicited checks and letters of thanks in the mail. US mail,
not e-mail. I don't want monetary donations, but I do expect people to
behave like adults.

Those of you who have contributed time and energy to this project have
my sincere thanks. You know who you are. Special thanks go to Morgan (I
don't know your last name), Ed Palisoc, Uwe Ross (for helping others even
though you have a financial interest in not doing so), Dana Baum (ditto).

Those of you who insist on asking for free copies of VWtool are doing a
disservice to those of us who have actually worked on this project.

I'm tired of it, so I'm unsubscribing from the list.

It would be wonderful if something constructive would come out of this
group, but by now I think the odds are firmly against it.

Regards,

Jeff
