Of course a 1992 Corrado engine is not OBD-II compatible.
No VW or Audi prior to 1996 modles supported the OBD-II protocols.
Nonethless, VAG-COM should work fine with this engine.
VAG-COM doesn't use the OBD-II protcols.
Use the TEST button on the OPTIONS screen to confirm that
VAG-COM can find your adapter (when it's connected to the car).
If it can't find it, you've got a hardware (or PC) problem.
Once VAG-COM finds the adapter, set the START_BAUD to 4800,
and use SELECT -> ENGINE to talk to your engine.
