Hi,
I designed and had manufactured a small PCB that mounts a motorola
MC33199 chip. The PCB is designed to mount a DLP Designs USB232M USB
interface module. The DLP USB module runs about $25. To simplify the
design I tied the K&L lines together because my target application
didn't need a seperate L line. In my application I added a pull up
resitor across the +12V line and the L line. If anyone is interested
in purchasing the bare PCB, a PCB with a MC33199 chip on it, or one
with a USB module drop me an email. I can provide pics as well.
P.S. - The USB module has several lines available that could be used
for L line if you designed some additional circuitry.
