Ford OBII PWM

I too had started looking into a Ford interface, other priorities have
taken over. My test vehicles are the 95 non-compliant OBII, which uses
the same interface.

I don't think Jeff's interface will work because it is for the ISO
interface cars. Looking at the schematic, all it basically does is
provide optical isolation and some level shift to the signal.

A Ford PWM circuit needs to drive/sense the differential signal from the
car and also do the PWM to RS-232 conversion. I had conceived of doing
this in a HC11(because I have a board) with some added interface
circuit.

FYI - The only IC I could find for the Ford PWM was made by I think
???(I forget), anyways the company wanted an NDA signed to get sample of
the part because they made it for Ford.

You can email me directly, I would be willing to share any info I have.

Andrew

With,Modulation (PWM)??? if not has anyone made one? and if not I will
help.
