Open Source Software and those PCBs

Hi

Ive just come onto this group and read the last 6 months postings.
Whats the status with those PCBs that Jeff was on about - did you
guys ever sort them out? Im willing to pay for one immediately, I can
pay direct via paypal (www.paypal.com).

Im also more than willing to create a java software project (or C++,
Im not bothered, but java would be cross platform for Linux and
Windows) - I just need the hardware interface. Ive been following the
AutoDoc project (another open OBDII project I found on the web) thats
done nothing in 12 months. So, if someone can provide me the parts
and a PCB, Ill happily solder it together and test it out on my 96 VW
Passat VR6.

Does anyone have any more info on the VW specific 9600 baud protocol?
Ive programmed microcontrollers in the past for RS-485 work - I dont
envision the 9600 baud protocol being all that tough to program - I
just need the spec - so, has anyone reverse engineered it?

Ive got most (hopefully all) of the VW OBD II codes (the standard
OBDII '0' codes and a lot of the VW '1' codes). If someone can provde
the protocol, Ill put together the software and release it under GPL.
My car is ill at the moment, and Im not paying my local dealership
another $95 for them to give me a list of numbers.

Nick
